11th and 12th meeting of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic
The Vice President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic called the 11th meeting of the Judicial Council, which will be held on 17th of August 2022 at 9 a.m. in the seat of the Council. The main points on the agenda are:
a. deciding on the prerequisities for judical competence of a particular judge,b. statement of the Judicial Council on the disciplinary proceeding against a particular judge and
c. deciding on the competence of the President of the Judicial Council to file a motion to start disciplinary proceedings against particular judge of the specific Slovak disctrict court who breaches an obligation of a judge to refrain from anything that could deprave the authority and dignity of judicial office or could jeopardize the confidence in independent, impartial, and fair decision-making of courts and who fails to enforce and defend independence of judiciary and its good reputation.
The President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic called the 12th meeting of the Judicial Council, which will be held on 22nd of August 2022 starting from 9.30 a.m. in the seat of the Council. The agenda will be elections of the candidates to international judicial bodies:
a. one candidate for the position of the ad hoc judge at the European Court for the Human Rights,b. 2 candidates for the position of the judge at the General Court of the European Union.
