Judge Peter Šamko elected as member of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic

On the 23rd of May 2023 judges in the west electoral district elected Mr. Peter Šamko, judge of the Bratislava regional court, as member of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic. His term will start on the 28th of June 2023. Mr. Šamko had in the elections strong support from the judges´council at Bratislava regional court, judges´council at Bratislava district court and from the biggest judges´association in Slovakia. The total number of judges who had the right to vote in the west electoral district was 645. The right to vote was used by 390 of them, while the number of valid ballots was 350. Mr. Šamko got 350 votes and soon will become the member of teh Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic for 5 years term.
