Judges may begin submitting their asset declarations

Published on
Every judge who performed the duties of a judge in 2025 is required to declare their asset situation for the preceding year.

The Office of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic handles the agenda related to judges´ asset declarations. The Office is ready to provide professional expert assistance not only in cases of questions and uncertainties, but also with the actual completion of the electronic form. The expert staff of the Section for Information Search on Judges´ Asset Circumstances and Judicial Eligibility will provide comprehensive cooperation, consultations, and support in this matter.

In the context of completing asset declarations for 2024, this Section´s staff handled more than 420 telephone requests in the first quarter of last year, and provided technical and expert support via email for over 50 cases. Sufficient lead time for completing the asset declaration enables judges to focus on eliminating frequent formal and substantive deficiencies.

Subsequently, all asset declarations will be reviewed by three-member review committees composed of Members of the Judicial Council. The asset declarations will be published on the Judicial Council´s website within the statutory deadline.
