Resignation of a Member of the Judicial Council
Dana Jelinková Dudzíková, a member of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, today resigned from her position as a member of the Judicial Council by letter, which she personally delivered to the President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, Marcela Kosová. Her mandate will terminate the following day, on 20 January 2026.
Dana Jelinková Dudzíková was elected to the Judicial Council by judges of the Western Slovakia electoral district on 21 April 2022. Out of twelve candidates, she placed third. She took office on 1 July 2022.
“I am very sorry that Dana Jelinková Dudzíková has resigned from her position as a member of the Judicial Council. With the support of judges, she undertook a significant amount of work within the Council and was an active and highly visible part of it. Her contribution was also particularly significant in judicial ethics as well as internationally. She represented the Judicial Council with dignity, for example, through many activities of the ENCJ and the OECD. We talked repeatedly and at length. It was not a hasty decision. I understand her reasons and her point. Although I had hoped she would reconsider,” said the President of the Judicial Council, Marcela Kosová.
