Slovak judges are no evil and they are not afraid
“Judges in Slovakia are not infallible. That is also why we have a system of ordinary anc extraordinary remedies. However, they do not make decisions out of fear, as the forme President of the Slovak Republic, Andrej Kiska, claims," stated Marcela Kosová, President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic in connection with Andrej Kiska's reaction to his rightful conviction.
Judges are guided by the constitution, constitutional laws, international treaties and laws when making decisions. They decide according to their best belief, independently and impartially. Just the way they promise it into the hands of the President who appoints them. Andrej Kiska should know that. Judges took the pledge even to his hands.
Slovak judges did not even choose "evil" to represent them in the Judicial Council. The "evil' that Ján Mazák talked about these days in a debate with Marek Vagovic. "Evil" tha according to the words of the former adviser to the former President faced in the position of the President of the Judicial Council. "By the way, Ján Mazák was elected to the Judicial Council by politicians and not by judges," Marcela Kosová has stressed.
