The European Union published 2022 Rule of law report
The Rule of law report monitors significant developments relating to the rule of law in all Members States. The 2022 Rule of Law Report, including its 27 country chapters, examines developments across the Member States, both positive and negative, in four key areas for the rule of law: the justice system, the anti-corruption framework, media pluralism and other institutional issues related to checks and balances.
As for the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, the report says that concerns remained as regards the regime of dismissal of members of the Judicial Council and the regime of criminal liability of judges for ‘abuse of law’, although the latter contained some safeguards.
