The Judicial Council has two fewer members

President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, today dismissed two members of the Judicial Council who were appointed by the former President – Ms. Lucia Berdisová and Mr. Tomáš Gábriš. The third seat in the Judicial Council (member appointed by the President) is not filled due to the expiration of the mandate. However, the tasks of the constitutional body of judicial legitimacy will not be compromised by this act. The President of the Slovak Republic has indicated that he will appoint three new members of the Judicial Council on 16th July 2024.
