The President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, Marcela Kosová, on behalf of the Judicial Council, delivered to the President of the European Network of Councils of the Judiciary, Madeleine Mathieu, and to the Head of the Permanent Representation of the Slovak Republic to the European Union, Juraj Nociar, a resolution of the Judicial Council, including the annex. The content of these documents is the position of the Judicial Council on the topics that were the subject of the conference organised by the International Commission of Jurists at the European Parliament. This Commission acts as a non-governmental international organisation of judges and lawyers to promote the rule of law and the realisation of human rights. The resolution was delivered to the International Commission of Jurists prior to the conference, which took place on 15 January 2025.

Subsequently, on 20 January 2025, the Judicial Council drafted a statement in response to some false statements made by VIA IURIS representative Petr Čuroš, presented in his speech at the conference, as well as to a number of defamatory statements made by the non-governmental organisation VIA IURIS against the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic as a constitutional body of judicial legitimacy. The press release also includes all the documents that are currently relevant to the topic. If you are interested, you can read them by clicking on the attached link.

The press release with the complete documentation is also published on the official website of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic in English version.
