The media attack on a judge will not stay without the reaction of the Judicial Council The President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, Marcela Kosová, commenting on the rough attacks on a particular judge published in Denník N, reminds us that it is very dangerous when the content of articles in a particular media incites the public to hateful attacks on a judge. At the same time the media publicly announces that court decisions are not necessary and do not need to be respected. A journalist must respect the basic principles of the rule of law and general moral principles. Marcela Kosová recalls the Journalist's Code of Ethics which states that a journalist shall not directly or indirectly incite hatred of any kind. "The attack on the judge will be discussed by the Judicial Council at a public session held on December 10, 2024," Marcela Kosova added.
