The President of the Judicial Council announced the election of a candidate for judge of the European Court of Human Rights

During its  June session, the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic elected two candidates for the list of potential judges of the European Court of Human Rights. However, the Judicial Council must select a third candidate to complete the list. Only then could the list of candidates be submitted to the Slovak government for approval. The President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, Marcela Kosová, therefore immediately announced a new election for one candidate for this important international position. It will take place on September 16, 2025, at the premises of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic. All necessary details are included in the annex in the Slovak language.
