Visit of the newly elected President of the Slovak Association of Judges
The President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, Marcela Kosová, received the newly elected President of the Slovak Association of Judges, Lenka Praženková, on November 11, 2025, at the Vice Governor´s Palace.
Lenka Praženková assured Marcela Kosová that the judge’s professional organization will continue, under her leadership, to cooperate with the Judicial Council in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation dated November 7, 2024.
Both the Judicial Council and the Association of Judges have a primary interest in promoting and protecting the independent and impartial exercise of the judiciary, improving the functioning of the judicial system, strengthening the rule of law, and increasing public confidence in the judiciary and respect for judicial decisions.
The Judicial Council and the Association of Judges cooperate primarily in the drafting of legislation concerning the judiciary, particularly concerning the organization, administration, and self-governance of courts, including the provision of adequate personnel and material resources for their functioning, as well as the status and material security of judges and other persons involved in the administration of justice.
