A senseless attack on the judiciary will not go without a response

The President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic Marcela Kosová, was deeply concerned to read an article published by Denník N and a social media post by lawyer Peter Kubina, both of which linked matters that are entirely unrelated in connection with a visiting judge Hajduk. The lawyer’s social media post, entitled “This is how the mafia operates”, constitutes a serious interference with the judiciary and goes beyond all acceptable lines. Such statements have nothing to do with reality or with the professional ethics of a lawyer. Marcela Kosová believes that the Slovak Bar Association will also respond accordingly.

Further details and facts will be presented to the public in a joint statement by the President of the Judicial Council Marcela Kosová and the President of the Bratislava Regional Court Boris Tóth, at a press conference on Monday, 28 September 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the seat of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, Hlavné námestie 8, Bratislava.
