Judges and Prosecutors from EU Member States visited the Judicial Council
On 25 May 2026, the President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, Marcela Kosová, welcomed a group of judges and prosecutors from EU Member States at the premises of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic. The visit took place within the framework of an exchange programme organised by the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). The delegation consisted of judges and prosecutors from Belgium, Italy, and Romania.
The exchange programme aims to provide participants with insight into the legal and judicial system of the Slovak Republic. Through visits to key institutions in the host country and meetings with representatives of the judiciary, participants gain a broader understanding of the justice system and become familiar with a different judicial practice. The programme also encourages professional dialogue, the exchange of expertise, and fosters international cooperation.
During the meeting, Marcela Kosová introduced the participants to the competences, significance, and role of the Judicial Council and responded to their questions.
„It is always a pleasure for me to receive a delegation of judicial representatives from abroad. In this regard, I highly appreciate the long-standing cooperation with the Judicial Academy, which organises such exchange programmes,“ stated the President of the Judicial Council.
