The Spring 2026 professional judicial examination has been concluded

On 24-25 March 2026 and 8-9 April 2026, the spring term of the professional judicial examination was held at the premises of the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic. The professional judicial examination assesses candidates from the judiciary and prosecution, testing their knowledge across various areas of law as well as their ability to apply legal norms in practice.

During the oral part of the examination, a total of 63 candidates appeared before nine examination committees composed of judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and representatives of academia. Of these, 49 candidates successfully passed the judicial examination, 20 out of them with distinction.

Certificates confirming successful completion of the professional judicial examination were awarded during a ceremonial announcement in the presence of the President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, Marcela Kosová, the First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Slovak Republic, Jozef Kandera, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, Milan Hodás, and the Director of the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic, Peter Hulla.

The President of the Judicial Council, Marcela Kosová, noted in her speech that “while serving as a judge or prosecutor is demanding and entails significant responsibility, it is also engaging work and a beautiful mission.”
