President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic took part in online discussion about building public trust and confidence (10th - 12th March 2023, Lviv, Ukraine)

The President of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Ján Mazák, as a member of the Executive Board of the European Network of the Councils for the Judiciary, took part in an online three-day conference organized by the High Council for the Judiciary of Ukraine entitled Roles and Responsibilities of the High Council of Justice: Building Public Trust and Confidence in the Judiciary.  In the key speech of the conference, President of the Judicial Council talked about the experiences of the Slovak Judicial Council in building trust and the good reputation of the judiciary focusing on the historical and present context. He also answered numerous questions regarding the competences of the Slovak Judicial Council and some specific results of the application of the new competences after constitutional changes in 2020.
